The features and advantages of ATLANT Washing machines of the Year 2008

The ATLANT washing machines are economical: refer to Class A by two parameters important for a washing machine — the washing efficiency and the energy efficiency. Water is also used efficiently in ATLANT washing machines. For instance, when washing cotton items, at full load water consumption makes just 49 litres in standard machines, 44 l — in narrow ones and 39 l — in mini machines.

All the models of the ATLANT washing machines have 15 basic programmes, which make it possible to wash the articles having various fibrous composition and structure: those of cotton and linen fabrics, natural silk and wool as well as artificial and synthetic fibres.

Among the washing programmes there are special ones. The Hand wash program is intended for very delicate items. The Speed wash program is used, if it is necessary to wash rapidly the slightly soiled clothes. The Combi-wash simplifies the washing process to the maximum because it allows washing items with no sorting them by their fabric types. The Programs for sporting clothes and shoes allow washing both clothes and shoes (from textile materials and artificial leather) quickly and uniformly. The Spot removal program allows removing any spots, even persistent dirt, including with the use of a bleaching agent. The Extra wash helps coping with heavily soiled clothes, for example, jeans ones.

The additional functions of ATLANT washing machines enable creating the best conditions for treating the clothes.

The Delay wash function enables, after setting the washing parameters, to start the program in 1-24 hours at a convenient or expedient time (for instance, when electricity tariffs are lower). The Pre-wash function is added before the basic wash to remove heavy dirt from the items. For very soiled cotton items, it is recommended to use the Soaking function. Choice of spinning speed and cancel of spinning allow taking into account the peculiarities of washed items. Choice of the washing temperature and washing in cold water enable setting the temperature according to the guidelines on taking care of items. Stop with water in the tub excludes the cycle of final spinning and is used when washing items from very fine and delicate fabrics not to get them crumpled. The Light press function reduces the creasing level of fabrics during washing and spinning and eases subsequent ironing. To prevent accidental changes in the chosen programme during the machine operation due to pressing the buttons (for example, by children), the additional children-protection feature is provided in some models.

The control panel of the machine is simple and comprehensible. Almost all the controls — display, pushbuttons and selector handle — are located in its centre, on the trapezoid-shaped pad. To provide the better visibility of the controls, the bottom edge of the pad projects above the panel surface at the angle of 10°. The START/PAUSE button is separated from the rest of the controls and raised above the panel surface, because the machine only starts the operation according to the preset parameters on pressing this button. The pause in executing the programme can be made by pressing the START/PAUSE button once again.

The design of the of the ATLANT washing machines employs the technical solutions which make it possible to achieve the optimum results when washing and spinning the clothes while ensuring the stable operation of the machine, namely:

1. The ATLANT washing machines operate stably with possible voltage fluctuations in the electric mains: they keep the serviceability in the expanded voltage range from 170 up to 255 V.
   
   
2. The machines are equipped with electronic control units. The electronics monitors completely the operation of the washing machine and ensures the optimum utilization of its capabilities. The electronic control unit of the machines with a LCD screen has the memory function, which makes it possible to save the corrected parameters (one option for each basic programme) for the subsequent washings.
   
   
3. They are equipped with the display and audible alarm, i.e. have a high level of information capacity.
   
   The display indicates the water heating temperature, rotational speed during the spinning, time remaining until start or end of the washing, washing operation being executed and the LCD screen indicates additionally the name of the programme chosen as well as water and power consumption when executing the programme. The information on the LCD screen can be displayed in one of the four languages (Russian, Ukrainian, English or German).
   
   The audible signalling warns about the start and end of the washing as well as about pressing the buttons erroneously, particularly, when specifying the incompatible functions.
   
   
4. The tub is made from a high-impact composite material — polypropropylene. This tub is nicely withstanding all mechanical loads. Moreover, polypropropylene reduces the machine noise during washing and spinning, while its high heat-insulating properties enable cutting down the power consumption.
   
   
5. During the spinning, the machines operate without excessive vibration or noise, because the clothes are distributed evenly over the drum surface during the washing.
   
   
6. The filling hose can be provided with the protective system. In case of operation of this system due to water leakage from the hose, the washing is stopped and the fault indication appears on the display.
   
   
7. The heating element is made of high-quality stainless steel for improving the reliability, strength and protection against scales.
   
   
8. The improved system for removing the water residues from the machine prevents spillage of water onto the floor when cleaning the draining pump filter.
   
   
9. The clothes loading door opens to 180° that essentially eases the loading process and prevents crumpling of clothes during unloading.
   
   
10. The door has a lock with a blocking device, which is engaged during machine operation.
    
    
11. The anti-closing blocking device of the door is provided to prevent from accidental machine start, for example, by children.
    
    
12. The detergent tray has three compartments and adapted for using both powdery and liquid detergents.

The machines are manufactured in two colour versions: with white or silver door.

Models of ATLANT washing machines are functionally same but differ for their spinning speed (from 800 to 1200 rpm), body depth (from 328 to 493 mm), and maximum loading capacity (from 3.5 to 5 kg) of cotton and flax items that allow making the choice of a washing machine most successful, with account of one's possibilities
