The design and structure of new ATLANT two-compressor refrigerators reflects the new tendencies in the development of the refrigerating machinery. The first model, the production of which has been mastered, is XM 6016.

The new series of ATLANT refrigerators is attractive, first of all, due to its design, both exterior and interior. The new appearance of ATLANT refrigerators is in keeping with the minimalism tendencies in the design. There are no unnecessary details, the shapes are austere and simple – such is the exterior design of the XM 6011, XM 6012, XM 6013, XM 6014, XM 6015, XM 6016, XM 6017 and XM 6018 refrigerators. The side panels and the refrigerating chamber door have the height to the very roof of the refrigerator. The control panel is hidden behind the refrigerating chamber door and the light indicators of the electronic unit are visible through the transparent window at the top of the door, which is simultaneously a striking decorative element. The austerity and laconism of the refrigerator appearance is emphasized by the shape of the handle cover bars to the width of the doors of the chambers.

The simplicity of the appearance of the refrigerators of the new series is contrasting to the artistic and designer’s conception of the interior. The style of the interior design is determined by smooth lines and rounded shapes. The original bow-shaped curve is repeated on all the basic details of the internal space: on the vessels for vegetables and fruits as well as for flesh or fish, on the front panel of the freshness compartment, stops of the glass shelves, on the door vessels and baskets of the freezing chamber, in a special shape for the insert for eggs and holder of bottled on the barrier. The rounded shapes of vessels, containers and shields of baskets are made in a single plastic style. The colour combinations of white elements with transparent bluish inserts fit organically into the refrigerator interior. Using transparent materials in the refrigerator creates not only visual lightness, but also convenience in use: the transparent plastic provides the better view of the foods.

The new designer’s solution of the refrigerators is supplemented with new functionalities. So the refrigerating chamber can operate in the "Supercooling" and "Leave" modes.

Should it be necessary to cool quickly beverages or large quantity of fresh foods, the "Supercooling" mode shall be switched on so that the temperature will reach its minimum value. By the way, some versions of the refrigerators are also provided with a fan in the refrigerating chamber for cooling fresh foods and beverages more intensively. The fan ensures the forced circulation of cool air and the temperature in the refrigerating chamber is distributed uniformly.

If the refrigerator is to be left unattended for long time (over 14 days), it is recommended to switch on the "Leave" mode to prevent the mould formation and unpleasant odour in the empty refrigerating chamber. In the refrigerating chamber the temperature of +15°C will be maintained while the foods in the freezing chamber will remain frozen. As regards the power consumption, it will be considerable lower than during the usual operation of the refrigerator.

The operation of the XM 6011, XM 6012, XM 6013, XM 6014, XM 6015, XM 6016, XM 6017 and XM 6018 refrigerators is controlled by the electronic unit, which ensures the switching-on and -off of the chambers, light indication of the refrigerator operation, selection and maintenance of the temperature in each chamber, digital display of the selected temperature or current time, audible alarm of the open state of the refrigerating chamber door for more than 60 seconds and protection of the refrigerator in case of the main voltage decrease or increase.

To accommodate the foods in the refrigerating chamber, use the vessels for vegetables or fruits, container for flash or fish, insert for eggs and deep compartments to the width of the chamber door (the upper of which is fitted with a cover). The lower compartment is provided with an elastic stop for preventing the bottles and jars from turning over and displacement.

It is planned that some versions of the new ATLANT refrigerators will be provided with a freshness compartment, which will make it possible to prolong the storage life of perishable goods. The conditions in this compartment are such that the foods remain fresh for the maximum time wile preserving their gustatory and nutritious properties.

In the freezing chamber of the new models, the foods are frozen and stored in plastic baskets (the number of which is two, three or four). The baskets can be pulled out easily from the chamber with the use of the front and side handles.
All the eight modes of the new series XM 6011, XM 6012, XM 6013, XM 6014, XM 6015, XM 6016, XM 6017 and XM 6018 belong to high power efficiency class, the A one and differ from one another in the volume (from 287 to 356 l) and height (from 1750 to 2050 mm). The models are manufactured in various versions, the difference between which consists in the presence of the freshness compartment and fan in the refrigerating chamber.

It is planned to manufacture the new models of the ATLANT refrigerators with the electronic control and indication unit with new designer’s and constructor’s solutions in the year 2009 which is a year of the fiftieth anniversary of this well-known Belarusian manufacturer. The new series of refrigerators is a deserved result of the many years’ experience of creation of high-quality and reliable products, the operation of which brings the joy to millions of families.
